Pumpkin Structures STEM Challenge!
|
Today we used pumpkin candy and tooth picks to do our best to create a two story structure as a team. This proved to be a real challenge! Here are some of the student findings after working on this fun project:
*We need to work as a team.
*We can't give up!
*We should try different materials. (Examples given: spaghetti and marshmallows, crackers and peanut butter, Legos)
*We needed to make it try a bunch of ways to make it work.
Overall, it was a very successful learning time in our classroom! I hope you enjoy the photos!

Halloween Fun!
Thank you to all of the families that helped make our Halloween celebrations spooktacular! We had a delicious breakfast and made slime! Then students were off to other rooms for arts & crafts activities and games. It was a great day in first grade!
If you have other photos to share, please email them to me and I will get them up on the website. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of every student. If you do, I would be glad to post them!
