Mott Children's Hospital- Making Spirits Bright
We have already raised $32 for Making Spirits Bright! Thank you for your dedication to this project. The kids in our class have done so many chores already! They have stacked wood, cleaned garages, done dishes, swept up messes they didn't make, emptied "yicky" bathroom garbages, and cleaned mirrors and sinks! They are so very proud to make their contribution and hook their loop on our class chain. I can't wait to hear about all the chores they are doing. Thank you for helping them make a difference!
Word Study and Homework Log
We will continue with our study of sneaky e words this week, as it is a short week. There will be no homework log this as well. Enjoy reading books you love to your children over the 4 1/2 day break!
Conferences
Reminder: Conferences are Monday and Tuesday this week. I look forward to seeing everyone there. If you are unsure of your time, or if your reminder note didn't make it home, please contact the school. Mrs.Hunter has a copy of the schedule in the office. 517-592-6632
Wednesday- Half Day and Pajama Day!
Mrs.Harris and I have decided that Wednesday would be a fabulous day for a Read In. Students have so hard this trimester and it will be a great reward! We will wear (school appropriate, of course) PJ's, have hot cocoa and donut-holes, and enjoy some great books.
Raz-Kids
Looking for a great way to help your child read? Try out our subscription to Raz-Kids! Each student can log on to their own account- and read at their own level! I have all of the students levels entered for them to begin. Just go to the Raz-Kids website, use our class name: hawkinsces then, find your child's name. The password they need is the two icons for cat and fish! They will earn stars to buy items for a rocket ship or to build a robot!
Kids should listen to the story a time or two, read it themselves, and then take a short quiz about the book. All of these actions will earn stars!
Be sure your child only logs into their own account! This helps me see reports on their reading progress.
